JEWELRY

Handcrafted by artisans in Ghana, our gold and sterling-plated brass pieces are unique and bold. Our metal smiths explain that the best way to care for your jewelry piece is to keep it wrapped in a cloth or paper & polish it only to remove dirt or grime. Our gold-plated brass jewelry pieces are plated with 24k gold and should be cleaned without solutions. Gold and silver-plated pieces are affordable alternatives to precious metals. We recommend not wearing your Geometric jewelry piece in water and following these care instructions to maintain their luxurious, heavy feel and shine.

SILK PRINTS

Geometric apparel made from silk blend fabric is a lightweight and wrinkle-free blend of polyester (70-80%) and silk (20-30%). It is fast drying so that it wears perfectly in the heat or in tropical climates. Our design team curates a selection of prints that capture our GEOMETRIC aesthetic with graphic lines, shapes, and motifs of Ghanaian wax print & handwoven textiles. These fabrics are delicate and should be washed by hand in cold water or on a delicate machine wash cycle. Air dry and follow care instructions for dry-clean only on specific pieces.

BATIK PRINTS

Batik prints are made from soft, cotton & rayon blends. These brightly and naturally dyed fabrics are created by master artisans in Ghana using wax dying techniques. Melted wax is applied to the fabric with a carved wooden block. Once dry, the fabric is dipped into the dye until the color and patterns are achieved. Each piece is hand-dyed and sewn by artisans in Ghana, making it unique and unrivaled by any mass-produced factory garment.

HANDWOVEN TEXTILES

Our bags & apparel feature authentic West African textiles that are handwoven on looms with naturally-dyed cotton. Textiles are living objects with an origin, a story, and a piece of the maker’s passion woven into each cloth. In West Africa, many families pass textiles down from generation to generation or select specific patterns and symbols to represent a significant life event or ceremony.

We share the meaning of the textiles’ woven patterns and the origin of the designs specific to each region and country. Our textiles are sourced from Mali, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, and Ghana. West African textiles are dry-clean only.

LEATHER

Our genuine leather is primarily sourced from throughout Africa where small-scale farmers and herders sell goat or cow hide as a byproduct of consumption. Our natural leather dying & processing techniques were developed by our master artisans and design team. It includes hand-antiquing, buffing, rust dying, and vegetable dying to give the leather a soft texture and earthy, rich tones. The source and type of leather used is described on each product page.

Store your Geometric bags inside one of our reusable duster bags in a cool, dry place. Keep leather and textiles soft and clean by wiping away any dirt with a cloth dipped in water & diluted white vinegar. Hang leather bags to dry directly in a cool, dry place. Coat dry leather with a leather balm or wax and store properly for your next use!
